Hecate by Maddie Harvey, Pom Pom Quarterly Issue 27, Autumn 2018 (5)

Hecate depicts the phases of the moon, in particular the waxing and waning moon, in stripes of a crescent-shaped slipped-stitch pattern worked in gorgeous yarn from Woollenflower. This dreamy combination of yarns helps to create a mystical and stunning parallelogram-shaped wrap.

cod-46114

My Loie shawl is named after Loie Fuller, who was an early 20th C. dancer, choreographer and pioneer of modernist performance. She danced whilst wearing voluminous pleated dresses, and butterfly-like ‘wings’. Fuller incorporated the flowing movement of the fabric into her performances with elegance and ease.

Knitted in heavy lace-weight Breeze from Anzula Luxury Fibers, Loie is a gorgeous floaty, summer layering piece.
